John Fraser was appointed interim Liberal leader in January 2026 after Bonnie Crombie resigned. Crombie had lost her own seat in the 2025 election and received only 57% on a leadership review. A permanent leader will be elected on November 21, 2026. Fraser previously served as MPP for Ottawa South since 2013.
